Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before accessing, using or obtaining any materials, information, products or services. By accessing the Scuba Legends website (collectively “Our Website”) you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept all of these Terms, then you may not use Our Website. In the Terms, “we”, “us”, “our” or “Scuba Legends” refers to Scuba Legends S.L. and “you” or “your” refers to you as the user of Our Website.
We may modify the Terms, for any reason at any time, by posting a new version on Our Website. These changes do not affect rights and obligations that arose prior to such changes. Your continued use of Our Website following the posting of modified Terms will be subject to the Terms in effect at the time of your use. We please you to review these Terms periodically for changes. If you object to any provision of these Terms or any subsequent modifications to these Terms or become dissatisfied with Our website in any way, your only recourse is to immediately terminate the use of Our Website.

Cancellation policy
The acceptance of the booking, once formalized, implies the agreement by the customer of the present CANCELLATION POLICY established by SCUBA LEGENDS.
If a booking consists of several days and/or participants and/or activities, the booking is deemed to have commenced with the first day of the booking. Further activities can therefore no longer be cancelled or reimbursed. Cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to [email protected].
CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER:
Snorkeling, Recreational Diving Courses and Diving Excursions:
Regardless the reason, cancellations are handled as following:
- More than 2 DAYS (48 hours) prior to the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
- Within 2 DAYS (48 hours) prior to the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
A special cancellation policy applies to group bookings of 4 or more participants:
- More than 15 DAYS prior to the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
- 15 – 3 DAYS prior to the scheduled activity date: 50% refund.
- Within 2 DAYS (48 hours) prior to the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
Technical Diving Courses and Diving Excursions:
A special cancellation policy applies to all activities related to technical diving:
- More than 15 DAYS prior to the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
- 15 – 3 DAYS prior to the scheduled activity date: 50% refund.
- Within 2 DAYS (48 hours) prior to the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
Vouchers:
A unique cancellation policy is in place for the purchase and use of any type of voucher (e.g., gift certificates, promo codes, discount cards, store credits, Bono Consume Lanzarote, etc.):
- Vouchers are valid for a specific period.
- Activities must be scheduled before the expiration date.
- Vouchers are non-refundable after purchase.
- Once activity dates are confirmed, no refunds or rescheduling are permitted; full charges apply.
PADI eLearning & Course Materials:
- All non-professional diving courses include the access to the PADI eLearning platform or printed manuals. PADI materials are are non-refundable. Though, in case of cancellation, the materials can be used with any other PADI dive center/instructor. The applicable amount of the PADI eLearning access & materials will be deducted from the total amount prior to refunding.
Lateness/No-Show:
- Ensuring timely arrival is crucial for the smooth execution of our activities. The indicated time serves as the commencement of the booked activity. Punctuality is not just a matter of following a schedule; it demonstrates respect for both fellow customers and staff. It is the responsibility of participants to plan their arrival adequately, considering factors such as traffic, unfamiliar surroundings, potential delays in public transport, and the search for parking. Being punctual ensures that everyone can fully enjoy their underwater experience. We recommend you to be at the meeting point 5 minutes before starting time.
- Independently of the reason, when the customer arrives delayed, though still in time to participate in the scheduled activity, the delay will be deducted from the total activity duration. However, to avoid disrupting the schedule for both, staff and fellow customers, delays of more than 15 minutes are considered “no-show” and result in the inability to participate in the booked activity. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
- When transfers (land or water based) are involved, being punctual is mandatory. Any delay will result in the inability to participate in the booked activity. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
CANCELLATIONS BY SCUBA LEGENDS:
Existing Medical Conditions:
- Independently of the experience level, the Spanish law requires participants to be medically fit for any diving activity (e.g., try dives, diving courses, guided dives). Ensuring medical fitness for diving is the responsibility of each participant. A doctor’s statement may be necessary for certain existing medical conditions. Therefore, prior to booking/partaking in any diving activity, it is essential to thoroughly review the medical questionnaire. Should the need for a doctor’s statement arise, adherence to the instructions delineated on the form is requisite. Subsequently, a scan of the document shall be send via email to [email protected] prior to any diving related in-water activity.
- Should a participant be unable to provide a medical certificate even though required for existing medical conditions, it is in accordance with Spanish law that they will be precluded from engaging in the diving activity. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
Incorrect, Incomplete or Delayed Communication of Personal Information:
We strive to ensure a seamless experience by preparing, packing, and loading all necessary equipment for your booked activity. As these preparations are typically finalized 1-2 days before the activity date, we kindly request that each participant provide their personal information at the time of booking. This allows us to:
- Pre-fill the necessary documents and forms
- Pack the appropriate equipment according to your sizes
- Organize groups based on age, language, experience level, etc.
- Schedule our staff effectively
- Register participants for insurance and e-learning
- Etc.
Due to logistical and organizational constraints, equipment cannot be prepared on the day of the activity. Therefore, it is essential for customers to read the booking confirmation carefully and provide the requested information to the dive center in writing by 10:00 a.m. (GMT+1) the day before the activity. For last-minute bookings or those made outside of office hours, immediate communication of this information is mandatory.
Please note that if the necessary information is incomplete, incorrect, or not provided on time, it may result in the participant being unable to join the activity. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Theory Self-Study:
- If a participant fails to complete the necessary theory and/or preparations as required for each training session, the participant will be unable to start/continue with the course. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply. Additional training sessions can be arranged at an additional cost (subject to availability).
Influence of Substances:
- Scuba Legends reserves the authority to refuse their services to customers under the influence substances (e.g., drugs, alcohol, etc.). No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
Weather:
- Scuba Legends chooses dive locations based on safety, weather conditions and level of experience. Common winds, clouds or rain do not cause a cancellation of the activity.
- Reservations affected by adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control will be relocated or rescheduled, when possible. Otherwise the customer receives a refund in form of a gift voucher.
Payments & refunds
The payment is due at the moment of the booking. In case of cancellation the refund will be returned according to the cancellation policy, using the same method used to make the payment.
Health & medical statement
Regardless of the experience level, all participants must be medically fit & healthy for diving. Ensuring medical fitness for diving is the responsibility of each participant, and a doctor’s statement may be necessary for certain medical conditions. Therefore, prior to booking/partaking in any diving activity, it is essential to thoroughly review the medical questionnaire. Should the need for a doctor’s statement arise, adherence to the instructions delineated on the form is requisite. Subsequently, please send a PDF scan of the document via email, ideally no later than 2 days preceding the scheduled activity.
Should a participant be unable to provide a medical statement signed by a qualified physician when mandated, it is in accordance with Spanish law that they will be precluded from engaging in the diving activity. Regrettably, neither refunds nor rescheduling will be feasible under such circumstances. Please note that diving is a risk sport. Your honesty is required and particularly important for your and your buddy’s safety, but also for the welfare of our staff. Should any uncertainties regarding medical fitness persist, or should advice be warranted, please feel free to please reach our to us.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that students enrolled in professional courses such as the PADI Divemaster or Instructor course are subject to the same medical statement requirement, irrespective of their current medical condition.
Course certification
We wish to inform you that Scuba Legends maintains the authority to withhold certification upon completion of any course should the instructor determine that the student has not met the requisite standards and requirements. It is imperative to understand that certification cannot be guaranteed solely through payment.
Our training sessions adhere strictly to the standards set forth by the diving association, with most skills building upon one another and necessitating successful completion to progress further. Unless a private course has been arranged, if a student opts to discontinue the training or is unable to fulfill the skill requirements despite ample training and practice time, the instructor must proceed with the remaining participants to ensure the course progresses as scheduled.
As outlined in our cancellation policy, neither rescheduling nor refunds are permitted in such cases. However, additional training sessions may be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.
The Open Water Course is perfect for beginners and doesn’t require any previous diving experience. But if you’re not comfortable in the ocean or not sure about getting certified yet, it’s a good idea to try diving before signing up for a course. If you’re really nervous or had a bad experience before, you might want to think about booking a private course. That way, the instructor can focus entirely on helping you. Diving insurance
The Spanish law requires every diver to have a personal diving insurance. Non-certified divers are covered by the dive center. Certified divers can sign up for our daily or long-term plans with DAN IDA insurance. If you have a personal diving insurance, please share the insurance details and possible depth limitations with us.
In addition to a diving insurance, we also strongly recommend a general travel insurance from your local provider to cover non-diving accidents or illnesses abroad.
Use of equipment
When the diving equipment used by the participant is provided by SCUBA LEGENDS, it is the customer’s responsibility to return the equipment to the dive center in the same condition as it was delivered. The customer is responsible for inspecting the provided equipment before use and must report any irregularities or defects. Independently of the activity and the reason, in the event of loss or damage of the used equipment, the customer must cover the costs of repair or replacement of the said material.
Special offers
Special offers, discount codes, and promotions are limited and subject to availability. SCUBA LEGENDS reserves the right to terminate these offers without prior notice. If the customer wishes to amend their booking (e.g., changes in the number of participants, activities, dates, etc.), the new booking will be subject to current prices and conditions. Any previously granted discounts will no longer apply.
