Life is better underwater.

The Museo Atlantico, located in Playa Blanca, is the first underwater sculpture museum and therefore one of the most unique dive sites of Lanzarote. Visit 10 different types and groups of underwater sculptures and find out more about the story behind. Diving in the underwater museum is a magical experience and creates goose bumps.

The project was created by the Artist Jason deCares Taylor who wants to emphasize on the connection between nature and art. The museum has a size of 50×50 metres and its ground delivers an artificial reef and home to many marine species. The environment is protected an offers a safe place for reproduction. Common visitors of the museum are angle sharks, sardine, sponges, barracudas and many more.

The dive site is at a depth of 12 to 15 metres. Since the underwater museum is a private project it can be accessed by boat only and be visited by authorized dive centres with an official guide. The supplement, which is to be paid in addition to the normal dive, includes boat transfers, official guide and entrance fees to the Museo Atlantico.

For certified divers the supplement is 39,00€ for a single dive or 49€ for a double dive.
Non-certified divers can visit the museum as well with an additional dive, after they have participated in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving.

Since we want to protect the natural environment and marine life during any dive, we kindly remind all our divers to show highest respect to the environment and not to touch or cause damage to any sculptures or marine life.
