What Is This About?
This scholarship is designed to create real PADI employment opportunities for candidates born between 1997 & 2008 and position recreational diving as a serious, sustainable career for Generation Z — not only as a hobby.
This is not a holiday internship. It is for motivated candidates who want to become confident, responsible dive professionals and build a future in the diving industry. At Scuba Legends, you won’t spend months cleaning and only ticking boxes to pass a course. You will train inside a working PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre and gain real insight into daily dive center operations, customer care, logistics, safety, guiding, teaching and professional teamwork.
That means:
✔ diving almost daily ✔ assisting courses ✔ interacting with customers ✔ handling equipment ✔ theoretical & practical workshops ✔ guiding snorkelers & divers ✔ supporting operations ✔ learning logistics ✔ understanding how the industry actually works
As your training progresses, you’ll go from guiding and assisting professionals to team teaching and eventually conducting programs independently.
The goal:
Become a confident, responsible and employable PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and work with us.
Because passing a course and being ready for real work are not always the same thing.
Program Details
Start: June 2026
Duration: 3–6 months depending on current level and experience
Schedule: 5 days per week, 2 days off
Entry level: Rescue Diver + EFR + minimum 40 dives*
Accommodation: Rental room from €550/month including carpooling to the dive center. Limited availability. First come, first served.

Requirements
✔ Born between 1997–2008
✔ EU / Schengen passport holder
✔ Hold a driving licence
✔ Speak English confidently & one additional language (ES/FR/DE)

A few important things
Scholarship recipients must complete OWSI certification through IDC in either September or November 2026. No extensions into 2027.
This scholarship includes all required PADI training materials and application fees for DM, OWSI and EFRI.
Some costs are NOT included:
• Accommodation & living expenses
• Personal dive equipment
• Medical certificate
• dive insurance
• 2026 Instructor Examination fee is fully charged by PADI (833€)
