Enriched air (EAN) or Nitrox is a mixture of gases with a higher oxygen concentration than normal air. The PADI Enriched Air – Nitrox Specialty Course is perfect for divers looking to maximize their bottom time and enhance their overall diving experience. This certification focuses on using enriched air (Nitrox) to safely extend no-decompression limits, making it especially beneficial for repetitive dives or deep explorations. You can also reduce the risk of decompression by absorbing less nitrogen.

The most common mixtures are Nitrox 32 and 36 with a concentration of 32% oxygen and 68% nitrogen and 36% oxygen and 64% nitrogen.

Diving with Nitrox is easy, underwater itself are no special measures necessary. Rather, it is necessary to learn what Nitrox is and how the use of enriched air influences the planning of your dive.

The course is streamlined with PADI eLearning theory, so you can complete the training at your own pace—no mandatory dives are required for certification. You will be certified for diving with Nitrox 40 (max. 40% oxygen). The PREMIUM course option includes a double dive in Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen, home to up to 10 diverse dive sites, offering stunning underwater landscapes and abundant marine life.
