He began his submarine attempt on April 23 and set a Guinness world record with 30 hours and 20 minutes early on April 24 at the Underwater Marine Park on the island of G\u00f6k\u00e7eada, the largest island in Turkey.<\/p>\n Every second that Karabay \u2013 also known as \u201caquarium man\u201d \u2013 was underwater in the Turkish Aegean, he was followed by \u015eeyda Suba\u015f\u0131 Gemici, who serves as the representative of Guinness in Turkey.
